Anecdotes
Catarsis members have had funny situations: when playing the spooky music of the Italian band Goblin a listener called and told us that he was freaked out in a lonely building he was watching.
Another time we played Demetrio Stratos' Cantare la voce and a listener asked us if the vinyl had got stuck. Back in 1990, we used to prerecord the programs on reel tapes from vinyls.
Concerts
Years ago Catarsis organized an event called Open Air Theater. The turnout was so huge that a lot of people were left out.
In 2002, the legendary British Camel was doing a gig to Costa Rica, but the manager cancelled it. Fortunately, an Argentinean manager contacted Giorgio Murillo who later spread the word of their coming to Costa Rica. Then Mauricio Beeche contacted Enrique Salgado, a well-known businessman from Costa Rica, who suggested having a private concert with the Camels. Catarsis members started calling acquaintances and friends to let them know about the venue and time of the concert. 150 people showed up to the event.
The day of this concert, Giorgio played music of the Camels and asked Andy Latimer to come to the show for an interview. The latter refused the invitation since they were getting ready for the concert. During the show, Giorgio announced the concert and finished the show around 8:30 to attend the show. Just before leaving the station, a listener called Giorgio and asked him about the concert. Thirty minutes later he was in. You made it Anselmo Rosales! I hope you enjoyed it!
